室內設計 Interior Design
現代人的生活模式複雜而多樣化，進行日常活動如居住、上學、上班、購物、醫療保健、吃喝玩樂、文娛和體育活動等，均需要適合的場所。場地的擁有者須先了解該場地是作居住、公共，還是商業用途，然後通過室內設計，運用物料、考慮燈光、空間佈局，以及使用者的活動路線，務求善用空間，接着就是美感、裝飾和設計主題上的考慮。室內設計師設計時，需要同時考慮功能和美感。由於室內設計旨在協調人對空間功能的需要和人與空間的互動關係，因此室內設計師需要充分了解該場地空間及使用者的需要，包括了解該場地是否只有一種還是多種指定用途，如何使用其功能，需要安置的器材、家具等。設計師更要熟悉不同用途的場地之相關建築條例，以及場地周邊環境的客觀條件，並善用設計技巧，以確保人們可安全和舒適地在不同場地進行各種活動，得到美好的生活體驗。 Nowadays, lifestyles are complex and diversified, activities include residence, schooling, work, shopping, healthcare, eating and drinking, recreation and sports, so people need various venues to provide different functional spaces for such activities. The function of the space ought to be defined, whether it is for residential, public or commercial use. Then, its function can be maximised through interior design, such as by manipulating of materials, planning of lighting, space layout and circulation of occupants, before considering aesthetic quality, decoration and the design theme. The designer needs to plan both the function and aesthetic effect when designing the space as interior design coordinates people’s functional need of the space and the interaction between it and humans. The interior designer has to fully understand the needs of the space user, and know the space well. This has been defined by one or more specified functions, the use of their functions, and the fixtures and furniture to install there. He/she should be familiar with the building ordinance for different spaces and their ambient conditions, as well as making good use of designing techniques to ensure that people conduct various activities there safely and comfortably, with a positive life experience. |

這是一所位於市區高樓大廈內的醫療中心。設計師把等候區設於窗邊位置，好讓訪客在等候可觀賞城市風光，同時引入天然光線，營造窗明几淨的效果。治療室亦採用同樣佈局，讓病人在接受療程時能遠眺風景，放鬆心情。設計師沒有使用一般醫療機構常用來營造偏冷氣氛的元素，反而採用流線造型的牆壁、暖色調的木材、綠色植物、天然大理石、光亮卻柔和的照明，以及蜂巢式設計，包括用六角形組成的屏風和大大小小的六角形燈光佈置，營造出一個專業醫療服務的環境，同時又能緩和病人的緊張情緒。
This is a medical centre located on the high-rise floor of a downtown building. The designer places the waiting area by the window so that visitors have a pleasing view of the cityscape while waiting, and natural light is introduced to create a clean and tidy effect. The same layout is adopted for the treatment room, so that patients undergoing treatment may have a nice setting in which to relax. The designer does not use those elements that medical institutions often employ for a cool atmosphere. Instead, streamlined walls, warm tones, green plants, natural marble, bright but soft illumination and beehive designs, including hexagonal screens and large and small hexagonal light arrangements, are used to relieve the patients’ nervousness, while providing a professional medical service environment.

以古樸質感的木結構，沿着圓形的室內空間，搭建出餐飲區迴廊；透過燒烤和賞酒亭、粗糙質感的石材、竹枝屏風、捲簾、吊燈和紅色主調，營造古雅的居酒屋餐飲氛圍。
By using timber to create cloister dinning area, with the barbecue & wine pavilion, rough granite, bamboo partitions, roller blinds, pendant lamps and red as the main colour scheme, to create a classic Izakaya (Japanese Tavern) atmosphere.
